Published on 17th May, 2019
Remember the time when we were very young and after a fun-filled play session, we used to go home with uncountable mud stains and grass stains on our clothes and shoes? Stains that looked as if impossible to get rid of, but on the very next day, same clothes miraculously used to be shining and ready to wear again. Unfortunately, we never tried to know the tips and tricks behind that, and now, when our kids come home with the same stained clothes, we don’t know what exactly to do and, eventually, we experiment and damage the cloth fabric. LaundryMan has got some easy ways for you to get rid of all the grass stains so that you don’t have to worry about such issues anymore:
Remove Grass Stains from Jeans
Stains on jeans can be very frustrating as it can reduce the charm of the fabric. For fresh stains, all you need is rubbing alcohol and liquid detergent. Hold the stained patch and apply the rubbing alcohol using a sponge. Let it dry and pour 2-3 drops of liquid detergent. Rub it for at least five minutes and rinse with cold water. After the fabric has dried, wash it along with your usual laundry if the stain has completely vanished, else, repeat the above steps. If the stain has been there for quite a while, then a small quantity of toothpaste will do the job perfectly. Apply and rub the toothpaste on the stain and rinse with cold water. Repeat till the stain is removed completely.
Remove Grass Stain from Forgotten Laundry
It can be very frustrating to find a grass-stained cloth lying in the pile for more than a couple of days. The question that wrestles with the brain is no doubt how to get rid of that?! Don’t worry, LaundryMan has got the solution! Mix two parts of hydrogen peroxide and one-part liquid dish soap. Mix the solution thoroughly and sprinkle over the stain. Leave it for a minimum of 30 minutes. Pour warm water in a broad container and add a cup of all-fabric bleach to it. Place the stained garment in the container for 3 hours or more. Wash the cloth as usual and add a cup of distilled white vinegar during the rinsing cycle. The stain will be gone!
Remove Grass Stains from Everyday Garments
T-shirts, shirts, pants, khakis, and various other everyday garments have very soft fabric when compared with jeans. So, the technique for grass stain removal will also be different. Mix two parts water and one-part white vinegar to form a solution. Soak the stain in the solution for at least 15 minutes. Using a clean white rag, gently pat the stained area. Wash the cloth with enzyme-based laundry detergent. Voila! The stain is gone! Repeat the steps if the stain is still present on the cloth.
Remove Grass Stains from Shoes
Your shoes tend to attract grass stains more as compared to your clothes and if your shoes are white, then you know the pain. But as they say, “Nothing is impossible”, and you can easily remove the grass stains if done properly. Remove the dirt from your shoes using a wet cloth. Prepare a solution of three parts water and one-part laundry detergent and apply it over the stain. Gently scrub the stain using a toothbrush. If the stain remains, pour a couple of drops of white vinegar on the stain and clean the shoes using a dry cloth.
